OSHA Fines Brooklyn Recycler for Workplace Safety Violations

A Brooklyn recycling business received a $40,500 fine for workplace safety violations because of the death of a worker who collapsed and died from excessive heat where he was working last summer.

The company, Cooper Tank Recycling in Williamsburg, received citations for eight “serious health and safety” violations, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
