“Hi, my name is Victor Cardenas. I’m from Ecuador. I work installing windows. So, two years ago, on August 20, I was working off a ladder. I remember I was on my fifth step and that’s when my ladder kicked back and I slipped from the ladder, falling to the ground about six feet, getting my ankle stuck in between the steps of the ladder. I twisted it and I fractured my ankle.
Once EMTs arrived to the site, I knew I was in a bad position. I was in pain. It was horrible. But I didn’t realize how bad it was until they started cutting up my boot, opening up my jeans. That’s when I realized that my bone was sticking out. At the beginning when I started working with the firm, I was working with Aaron.
