Firm Recovers $1.5 Million for Auto Accident Victim

Our New York personal injury law firm is pleased to announce that we recently recovered $1.5 million in damages for the injuries sustained by a New York man following a 2008 motor vehicle accident.  The accident, which occurred on November 24, took place at the intersection of Broadway and 133rd Street in Manhattan, New York.  The plaintiff, a 62-year-old livery cab driver, was stopped at said intersection when he was rear-ended by the defendant’s delivery truck.  The court granted summary judgment on the issue of liability.  The case was handled by New York accident attorneys Daniel P. O'Toole and Frederick C. Aranki.

As a result of the collision, the plaintiff sustained serious neck injuries including, but not limited to, multiple herniated discs.  After conservative treatment proved insufficient, the plaintiff underwent surgery to his neck.  The invasive procedure included the insertion of hardware into his cervical spine.  The plaintiff also alleged damages for the cost of future medical treatment.

Motor vehicle accident cases are the leading source of personal injury claims in the United States, with most laws varying by state. If you or a loved one has sustained injuries as a result of an automobile, motorcycle or truck accident, you may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering and other damages.  For a free legal consultation, fill out the form on the right of the page.
