$2,760,000 Settlement For Neck & Back Injuries Sustained in Crash


Plaintiff was a 60-year-old retired financial analyst at the time of the accident.


At the time of the accident, Plaintiff was the front seat passenger double parked on Avenue D in Brooklyn. The driver of the vehicle, Plaintiff's cousin, had parked the vehicle so he could purchase items inside a lumber yard. While the vehicle was double parked, a United Parcel Service truck attempted to pass the parked vehicle by driving into a lane for oncoming traffic. However, he encountered an oncoming vehicle and swerved back into his lane to avoid a collision, striking Plaintiffs' vehicle.


Plaintiff suffered injuries to his neck and back, including disc herniations, requiring an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion at C5/6 and a Lumbar Fusion surgery at L3-S1.


The matter was settled prior to trial by partner S. Joseph Donahue and Jeffrey A. Block.
