A Message from Our Firm
Dear Valued Friends and Colleagues of Block O’Toole & Murphy,
To begin, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy as the effects of COVID-19 continue to impact our daily lives. It continues to be crucial that we all work together to support those who have been affected by the virus and to protect those at risk.
The safety of our employees, clients, and colleagues is of utmost importance to us. When the situation first began to escalate in New York City, our team worked quickly to ensure that all employees had the ability to work from home. Thankfully, starting March 13th, our office has been able to operate remotely without issue. Now, as courts across the state begin to open and New York City enters the first phase of reopening, we are continuing to monitor the situation and will work from home until we know it is completely safe for all staff to return to the office.
As we adjusted to working remotely, our firm continued to work tirelessly on our existing client cases, settling matters and signing new ones. Throughout the three months of remote work, we have settled cases for $1.325 million, $3.5 million, $1.2 million, $1.6 million, $1.65 million, $1.35 million, $4.5 million, $3.5 million, $2.25 million, $2.9 million, and $10.5 million. We will continue to help those in our community who have been negatively impacted in an accident and require legal assistance. Please, do not hesitate to contact us; we are here and ready to help.
Our main office phone number, 212-736-5300, continues to be operational during this time. We respond promptly to all inquiries. We ask our colleagues to please scan and email paper documents to [email protected] whenever possible.
The COVID-19 crisis has been an incredibly difficult time for all of us, but we have persevered. Together, we are coming out of this stronger than we were before. Please, continue social distancing and follow all other guidelines put forward by the CDC and your respective local government officials.
We at Block O’Toole & Murphy thank you for your continued efforts to protect our community and appreciate your loyalty and patience during this time. We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel.
