Two major accidents on I-87 this morning affected the morning commute. Facts are only starting to emerge, and we hope that everyone involved is ok, but indications are that these accidents were very significant. A van overturned on northbound Interstate 87 in New York around 6am this morning near the Spring Valley tolls. Reportedly, the van was involved in a collision with a tractor trailer.
Also occurring this morning on southbound I-87, a four vehicle collision Mamaroneck, and a truck separately caught fire near the I-287 exit. The fire has been extinguished and traffic is flowing again.
