Laborer Awarded $3,750,000.00 For Leg Injuries Sustained When He Was Struck By A Falling Steel Beam

Plaintiff was a 34 year old laborer at the time of the accident.

DESCRIPTION OF CASE
At the time of the accident, Plaintiff was working as a laborer for an electrical company at a project that consisted of the construction of a five story building in the Bronx. As Plaintiff was leaving the building to gather materials, a 30 foot long steel beam that was being lowered from the third floor fell and struck Plaintiff in the left lower leg.

INJURIES/DAMAGES
As a result of the accident Plaintiff suffered multiple fractures to the lower left extremity requiring multiple surgical procedures.

SETTLEMENT
The matter was settled prior to trial for $3,750,000.00 out of the available $4,000,000.00 policies of insurance
