$4,000,000 For Hotel Employee Injured In Two Car Accident

At the time of the accident Plaintiff was a 52 year old porter at the Marriott.

DESCRIPTION OF CASE
Plaintiff was driving westbound on Atlantic Avenue towards his home in Brooklyn. Defendant driver was heading eastbound on Atlantic Avenue, turning left onto Woodhaven Boulevard northbound. Both drivers claimed to have the right of way. Defendant made a left turn directly in front of Plaintiff making it impossible for Plaintiff to avoid the collision. Plaintiff's front driver side collided with defendant's front passenger side door.

DAMAGES
Plaintiff suffered exacerbation of pre-existing injuries to his neck and lower back, as well as a torn left rotator cuff. Plaintiff underwent surgical repair of his torn rotator cuff. Additionally Plaintiff had two-level lumbar fusion and one level cervical fusion surgeries with implantation of plates and screws to stabilize multiple herniated cervical and lumbar discs. Plaintiff was rendered fully and permanently disabled from his previous employment.

SETTLEMENT

The parties reached a negotiated settlement of $4,000,000.
